Frequently Asked Questions

Should I choose the TERA or TERF model?

It depends on cyanuric acid. TERA uses active chlorine and pH sensors for indoor pools or spas where cyanuric acid is 0 ppm or less than 2 ppm. TERF uses free chlorine and pH sensors for outdoor pools or spas where cyanuric acid is 20 to 40 ppm.

Is Tere’O Touch compatible with salt chlorination?

Yes. Both models are compatible with by-products of electrolysis (salt chlorination), and Tere’O Touch works with all chlorine types: stabilised chlorine, liquid chlorine, salt chlorination and pellets.

Can Tere’O Touch connect to a BMS or be monitored remotely?

Yes. Upgrade options include a remote monitoring system via Ethernet or SIM communication and bi-directional remote access via BMS.

What happens if a reading goes out of range?

Dosing stops on high or low alarms, and a programmable maximum daily dosing time limits how long the system can dose. The controller also runs continuous self-diagnosis.

Which regulation types are available?

Tere’O Touch supports PID (cycle or pulse), on/off, threshold and hysteresis regulation.

How are the outputs configured?

Tere’O Touch has one output for FAC and one output for pH. Each output can be configured as either 230VAC powered or volt-free.

Can Tere’O Touch measure temperature?

Yes. A temperature sensor is available as an upgrade option.

What warranty applies to Tere’O Touch?

Tere’O Touch is backed by Waterlink’s standard commercial warranty. Full terms and coverage are available at waterlink.com/warranty.
