Secondary Disinfection

Synergy Econ

Low-Pressure AOP System

Synergy Econ is designed to offer a low-cost secondary disinfection solution in a compact and easy to install design. It combines ozone generation and low-pressure UV technology to deliver a cost-effective advanced oxidation (AOP) solution for commercial pools.

  • Combined ozone and low-pressure UV advanced oxidation (AOP)
  • Compact and easy to install
  • 2 g/hr ozone output on every model
  • Four models, from 15 to 30 m³/hr

Cost-Effective Advanced Oxidation

Designed to improve water quality while keeping capital and operating costs under control, Synergy Econ reduces chloramines and provides an additional barrier against chlorine-resistant microorganisms such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia.

Cost-Effective AOP

A low-cost secondary disinfection solution that keeps capital costs under control.

Lower Operating Costs

Lower operating costs than many traditional AOP systems.

Ozone and Low-Pressure UV

Combines ozone generation and low-pressure UV technology in one advanced oxidation system.

Reduces Chloramines

Reduces chloramines and unpleasant odours for fresher pool water and air.

Water Clarity and Comfort

Improves water clarity and swimmer comfort, with an additional barrier against chlorine-resistant microorganisms.

Four Models

Available in 4 models to suit small to medium-size facilities.

How Synergy Econ Works

Synergy Econ treats the filtered pool water through an ozone reactor followed by a low-pressure UV chamber.

Ozone rapidly oxidises contaminants, while the UV lamp activates the oxidation process and neutralises any remaining ozone before the water returns to the pool. This advanced treatment significantly reduces chloramines and provides an additional barrier against chlorine-resistant microorganisms, improving overall water quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Synergy Econ?

Synergy Econ is a low-pressure AOP system that combines ozone generation and low-pressure UV technology to deliver a cost-effective advanced oxidation solution for commercial pools, in a compact and easy to install design.

How does Synergy Econ work?

Filtered pool water passes through an ozone reactor followed by a low-pressure UV chamber. Ozone rapidly oxidises contaminants, while the UV lamp activates the oxidation process and neutralises any remaining ozone before the water returns to the pool.

What does Synergy Econ treat?

It significantly reduces chloramines and unpleasant odours and provides an additional barrier against chlorine-resistant microorganisms such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia, improving water clarity and swimmer comfort.

Which Synergy Econ model do I need?

Synergy Econ is available in 4 models to suit small to medium-size facilities: WSE200 (15 m³/hr), WSE250 (18 m³/hr), WSE300 (24 m³/hr) and WSE440 (30 m³/hr). Custom specifications are available on request, subject to review.

How much ozone does Synergy Econ produce?

Every Synergy Econ model produces 2 g/hr of ozone, with an ozone flow rate of 3 to 6 L/min.

What are the power requirements?

All models run on 220 to 240 Volts (AC) with 10 A RCBO protection. Power consumption is 1200 W for the WSE200 and WSE250, 1500 W for the WSE300 and 1600 W for the WSE440.

What size are the UV chamber connections?

The WSE200 has 50 mm (2") connections, and the WSE250, WSE300 and WSE440 have 80 mm (3") connections. All UV chambers are Schedule 80 PVC.

What upgrade options are available?

Upgrades include a remote monitoring modem via Waterlink, a 3" ozone booster pump and injection manifold, and an outlet strainer. Custom specifications are available on request, subject to review.
